Lawyers refer cases to us for a variety of reasons. Sometimes the case is outside the referring lawyer’s area of expertise so the lawyer decides it is in the client’s best interest to send the case to us. Even if the referring lawyer practices injury law, collaboration with us is sought because the case is more complex than they typically handle such as a medical malpractice claim. Other times, the referring lawyer would like to associate us because of the financial or time demands the case will put on their own practice.
Whatever the reason, at The Law Offices of John Day, P.C. we routinely share our skills and resources to help other lawyers help their clients. Whether it is a simple referral or a co-counsel relationship, our accomplished injury lawyers can help provide:

We do not charge potential clients who call us to discuss a case and the same is true for lawyers. We are happy to talk to you about your case and let you know our thoughts on it. If you decide to refer the case to us or co-counsel with us, we will work out a shared fee at the beginning of the case. And speaking of the beginning: that is when we prefer to become involved, but we do accept cases that are already in later stages of litigation. Finally, we accept referral cases across the entire State of Tennessee.
