Like many places in Tennessee, there are relatively few tort cases (claims for personal injury and wrongful death) filed and tried in Lewis County. In 2010-2011, only 2 tort cases were filed in Lewis County and not a single case was tried. In 2011-2012, only 1 tort case was filed in Lewis County. Again, not a single case went to trial. From 2012-2014, there were zero tort cases filed in Lewis County. In 2014-2015, only one tort cases was filed in Lewis County and none were tried.
